The questions we get asked most, answered the way we would across the counter.
How much does a car service cost in Rockhampton?
It depends on the car and what the logbook calls for at that interval. A basic service on a common car costs less than a major service that includes plugs, coolant or transmission work. Our standard service starts at [TBC: standard service price]. Call with your rego and we will quote the exact service your car is due for, before you book.
How often should I service my car?
Most manufacturers say every 10,000 to 15,000 km or every 6 to 12 months, whichever comes first. Central Queensland heat and dust sit at the harder end of driving conditions, so do not stretch the interval. If you are not sure when yours is due, call us with the rego and we will check.
Will servicing outside the dealer void my new-car warranty?
No. Australian law lets any qualified workshop do logbook servicing without affecting your statutory new-car warranty, as long as the service follows the manufacturer's schedule and uses appropriate parts. We stamp the logbook the same as a dealer would.
Do you do pre-purchase inspections?
Yes. We inspect the body, engine, driveline, brakes, suspension, tyres and electronics, then road test the car and give you a plain-English rundown of what it needs now and what it will need soon. A pre-purchase inspection costs [TBC: pre-purchase inspection price]. Book a day ahead if you can.
Do you sell used cars in Gracemere and Rockhampton?
Yes. We source and sell a small number of quality used cars, each one inspected and refurbished in our own workshop first. Every listing discloses known flaws up front. See the current cars on our used cars page, or call and tell us what you are after.
Do you work on European cars?
Yes. We specialise in Toyota and work on European and Japanese vehicles every week. If it is something exotic, call first and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right workshop for it.
Are you open on weekends?
Yes, we are open 7 days: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 1pm to 5pm. Weekend spots go quickly, so book ahead where you can.
Where are you located?
2 Bridge St, Berserker QLD 4701, inside the Caltex Berserker South. Drop the car off and grab a coffee while you wait or arrange pick-up later in the day.
What happened to BESTeam Mechanical?
Nothing bad. Same workshop, same mechanics, new name. BESTeam Mechanical is now Doletin Mechanical, named after the family that has been running it all along, Samson and Wilma Doletin.
